The Suboxone MAT program at Willowbrooke at Tanner is a comprehensive addiction treatment program. Patients who have not recently participated in an addiction treatment program may be provided with Suboxone therapy. Patients in this program must agree to: Be admitted to our primary addiction PHP/IOP program Participate in our random urine drug screen program Participate in a 12-step program Taper off Suboxone Tapering would occur over six months to two years, depending on a patient’s starting dose. Please note that we have found a slow consistent tapering of the medication is more effective, prevents withdrawal from Suboxone, and allows the patient to build a stable addiction recovery program for continued support. Patients who have completed an addiction treatment program also may be provided with Suboxone therapy. These patients must agree to: Participate in our urine drug screen program Participate in a 12-step program Taper off Suboxone Tapering would occur over six months to two years, depending on a patient’s starting dose. Please note that we have found a slow consistent tapering of the medication is more effective, prevents withdrawal from Suboxone, and allows the patient to build a stable addiction recovery program for continued support. Patients currently on methadone who have tapered down to 30 mg daily or less can also join the program and be converted to Suboxone therapy as detailed above. In rare cases, maintenance Suboxone therapy may be considered. Willowbrooke at Tanner’s Suboxone MAT program is not designed for patients requiring Suboxone for chronic pain conditions. We would work with pain management physicians to find appropriate care for Willowbrooke at Tanner patients suffering from chronic pain.
