Three Tanner hospitals have earned distinction as accredited destinations for advanced stroke care:

  • Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton and Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica have each earned an Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers designation from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and The Joint Commission.
  • Higgins General Hospital in Bremen is a designated Advanced Disease-Specific Care Certification for Acute Stroke Ready Hospitals.

Additionally, our robust telemedicine services enable our neurologists to consult on emergent stroke cases around the clock.
