Bravo PH study

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a test that doctors use to examine the inside of the entire large intestine (colon), where a slim, flexible tube tipped with a camera is inserted into the rectum to find abnormal spots and colorectal cancer.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is used to diagnose and treat problems in the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts and pancreas. It uses a long, flexible tube attached with a light and a camera at the end to examine the inside of the digestive system. Learn more about ERCP.

Esophageal dilation

Esophageal dilation

Esophageal dilatation is used to stretch or open a blocked portion of the esophagus when it has become blocked or closed, making swallowing difficult. It uses a long, thin instrument that is inserted into the esophagus through the mouth.

Esophageal manometry

Esophageal manometry is a test that shows whether your esophagus is working and moving properly. A thin tube that measures muscle contractions is passed through the nose, down the throat and esophagus and into the stomach. Learn more about esophageal manometry.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

EGD examines the lining of the esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine. Learn more about EGD.

Flexible sigmoidoscopy

A flexible sigmoidoscopy is a test used to examine the lower portion of the large intestine (colon) using a thin, flexible tube that is inserted into the rectum.

Hemorrhoid banding

Hemorrhoid banding is a minimally invasive procedure to treat hemorrhoids where the base of the hemorrhoid is tied with a band to stop blood flow to the hemorrhoid. Learn more about hemorrhoids.

Liver biopsy

A liver biopsy is a procedure used to remove a small sample of liver tissue for laboratory testing. A doctor takes the sample by inserting a thin needle through your skin and into your liver. Learn more about liver biopsy.

Pill camera

Small bowel capsule endoscopy (pill camera)

LA capsule endoscopy helps doctors see inside your small intestine. For this exam, you’ll swallow a tiny pill-sized capsule that has a wireless camera inside that takes pictures of your digestive tract.

Upper endoscopy

Upper endoscopy is a procedure that allows doctors to examine the inside of your upper part of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach and the top portion of the small intestine. Learn more about upper endoscopy.
