Tanner Sponsors Summer Movie Series

This summer is shaping to be the coolest summer ever thanks to Carrollton Main Street’s Summer Movie Series sponsored by Tanner Health System.

Tanner’s Get Healthy, Live Well will be providing educational entertainment before each movie as part of its #SummerOfHealth campaign. The AMP at Adamson Square is presenting the series, which will feature movies all summer long. All movies are free to the public and start at dusk.

The series kicked off May 26 with a showing of “The Good Dinosaur.” Get Healthy, Live Well is getting involved to help educate children and families on how to stay healthy and safe this summer. Before every movie, Get Healthy, Live Well’s health education activity will correlate with the movie that is being shown. For example, before watching the “The Good Dinosaur,” kids learned what to eat for healthy bones. Get Healthy, Live Well wants to make leading a healthy lifestyle fun and easy.

“Join us this summer for an exciting movie series that will be fun for the whole family,” said Patricia Mitchell, wellness and prevention coordinator at Get Healthy, Live Well. “And be sure to come early because you don’t want to miss the previews featuring Get Healthy, Live Well activities.”

The summer movie series provides the perfect opportunity for families to not only spend quality time together, but to learn how to get and stay healthy. So bring the family out and start a new tradition this summer. While at The AMP, families are encouraged to post a photo on social media showing how much fun they’re having with the hashtag #SummerOfHealth.

Get Healthy, Live Well activities start at 7:30 p.m. Here is the rundown for the movie series this summer.

·    June 9 – Open Season
·    June 30 – The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
·    July 14 – Shaun the Sheep
·    August 2 – Little Rascals
