Tanner Neurology Welcomes Zeinab Charmchi, MD, and Michael Wilshire, MD



Board-certified neurologists Zeinab Charmchi, MD, and Michael Wilshire, MD, have joined Tanner Neurology, improving access to neurology care throughout west Georgia and east Alabama.

Zeinab Charmchi, MDZeinab Charmchi, MD, is board certified in neurology and neurophysiology. She earned her medical degree from Qazvin University of Medical Sciences Shahid Babaei Faculty of Medicine in Iran. After completing a residency in neurology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, she completed a fellowship in neurophysiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College — both in New York, New York.

Michael Wilshire, MDMichael Wilshire, MD, is board-certified in neurology. He earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. After completing a residency in neurology at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he completed a fellowship in neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The new office in Carrollton gives west Georgia and east Alabama residents easier and closer access to neurology care for a range of neurological and cognitive conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), dementia, migraines, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, seizures and epilepsy, stroke and more.

As part of Tanner Medical Group, Tanner Neurology has access to all the resources of Tanner Health.

Tanner Neurology’s Carrollton office is located in the West Georgia Specialty Center at 157 Clinic Avenue, Suite 301, across Ambulance Drive from the emergency department at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
