Tanner Hosting Free Education Session for Foot and Ankle Pain Treatment

Injuries to the foot and ankle are incredibly common, impacting thousands of people each year. They can stem from physically demanding activities like jogging or hiking to the more mundane, like rolling your ankle on the edge of a curb or dropping a box on your foot.

Living with constant aches and pains from a foot or ankle issue can have more than a limiting impact on your mobility — it could be keeping you from doing the things you enjoy most.

If you’re ready to move past the pain and limitations and get your mobility and life back, join Daniel Maxwell, MD, a foot and ankle orthopedic specialist, as he leads a free education session for those seeking a lasting solution for their pain.

Dr. Maxwell’s discussion will cover treatment for a range of foot and ankle conditions, injuries and disorders, as well as the latest and most advanced treatment options available at Tanner — including surgical and non-surgical treatments.

The session will be held on Thursday, May 2, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Classrooms A and B at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica, 601 Dallas Highway. The discussion is free to attend. Seating is limited, and registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.

Dr. Maxwell is a physician with Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic, and he is also a member of the patient care team at Tanner Ortho and Spine Center. He earned his medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.

Those interested in attending this free discussion can register online at www.tanner.org/footpain.

This special education series gives attendees the opportunity to learn about the latest approaches to care available from a specialist in orthopedic health. For more information on the orthopedic services available at Tanner, visit www.TannerOrtho.org.
