Tanner Hospitals Awarded for Outstanding Patient Experience

The best care a healthcare provider can offer is the kind that puts patients first. That’s the standard of care provided at Tanner Health System, and that higher level of care has earned two of the health system’s hospitals quality awards from Healthgrades, one of the nation’s leading hospital rating agencies.
Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton and Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica have earned Healthgrades’ 2018 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
The Healthgrades’ Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes hospitals that provide an overall outstanding patient experience based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient survey data, a comprehensive patient survey that scores healthcare organizations based on a series of quality measures and information about patients’ experience in the hospital.

Over the years, Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton has received recognition from Healthgrades in multiple categories, including Healthgrades’ America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery Award for eight consecutive years, which is an award that recognizes hospitals for superior outcomes in back and neck surgery, spinal fusion, hip fracture treatment, hip replacement and total knee replacement.
Additionally, Tanner Heart and Vascular Center was recognized for having superior outcomes in coronary intervention procedures and received Healthgrades’ Coronary Intervention Excellence Award™ in 2017.
