South Paulding Touchdown Club Supports Local Breast Cancer Patients

The South Paulding Touchdown Club is making a difference in the lives of local breast cancer patients. At their spring 2014 game, the Spartans presented a gift of $500 to the Tanner Breast Health - Patient Care Products Fund.

"We are so grateful to the players, coaches and parents of the South Paulding High School Touchdown Club," said Venita Steed, RN, Program Director for Tanner Breast Health/Carrollton. “There are many breast cancer patients throughout our community who will benefit from this donation. This gift will help provide a wig or other patient care product that a patient could not otherwise afford. We applaud Coach Koester and everyone at the Touchdown Club for instilling a sense of philanthropy and civic responsibility in their players.”

The dedicated support from the students, parents and faculty of South Paulding High School will help local breast cancer patients with expenses related to wigs, prosthesis and other cancer care products.

The Touchdown Club is dedicated to providing support to the South Paulding High School Football program. Funds were raised with the efforts of the Spartan Mom's Club, whose main purpose is to encourage the team to do their best by inspiring them and increasing their team spirit!
