‘Mommy and Baby Rest Time’ Launched on Mother’s Day

Visitors to the W. Steve Worthy Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton may notice new “Mommy and Baby Rest Time” signage and posters, which were first revealed on Mother's Day.

Developed to help reduce the noise level for two hours each afternoon so that Tanner’s new mommies and babies can more easily enjoy some much-needed rest, “Mommy and Baby Rest Time” designates a quiet time period that should make naps a bit easier to take.

Each poster features a sleeping swaddled infant logo, a large photo of yawning newborn and a headline of “Shh. Mommy may be sleeping!” It also provides this important message for visitors:

Every afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m., there is a special Mommy and Baby Rest Time at the maternity center. Thank you for observing this two-hour period—no visitors please—by returning after 4 p.m. or visiting another time.

And in case I’m asleep, too—thank you!
