Now, greater access to specialized care for kidney conditions is coming to west Georgia and east Alabama as Kilsy Cuello Pichardo, MD, joins Carroll County Nephrology.
Dr. Cuello Pichardo earned her medical degree at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, where she also completed her internship and residency in internal medicine before completing fellowship training in nephrology at Augusta University in Augusta, Ga. A proud islander, Dr. Cuello Pichardo was born in Dominican Republic and grew up in Puerto Rico, where she honed her warm approach to helping patients find clinically-based approaches to treating kidney diseases resulting from diabetes, hypertension, polycystic kidney disease and more.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, the American Federation for Medical Research and the National Kidney Foundation.
With Carroll County Nephrology, Dr. Cuello Pichardo joins the patient care team of board certified nephrologists; Maria Orig, MD, Bryan Quinn, MD, and Emily T. Massey NP-C, offering a complete approach to kidney health for residents throughout west Georgia and east Alabama.
Dialysis services are available in Carrollton, Villa Rica, Bremen and Douglasville.
Dr. Cuello Pichardo also has privileges as a member of the medical staff at Tanner Health System.
