Kia Carter, MD, Joins the Staff of Willowbrooke at Tanner

Psychiatrist Kia Carter, MD, is joining the staff of Willowbrooke at Tanner and the medical staff of Tanner Health System.
Dr. Carter earned her medical degree in allopathic medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky., and completed her internship and residency in general psychiatry at the University of Louisville. She also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
As a member of the medical staff at Willowbrooke at Tanner, Dr. Carter will provide personalized care and inpatient treatment for a wide range of behavioral, emotional and substance abuse issues affecting all age groups — from children and adolescents to adults.
Willowbrooke at Tanner is a behavioral health service of the nonprofit Tanner Health System, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient programs, treatments and services. Inpatient care is provided at Willowbrooke at Tanner’s 82-bed behavioral health facility in Villa Rica. Willowbrooke at Tanner also has offices in Carrollton, Villa Rica and Cartersville that provide outpatient services.
