Starting July 16, Tanner Café at East Alabama, located inside the new Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama hospital in Wedowee, will be open to the public each Sunday from 7 to 9 a.m. for breakfast and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch. The expanded hours provide area residents with a great new option for Sunday family meals.

The café is open to the public for breakfast seven days a week from 7 to 9 a.m. Hearty breakfast foods, including eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage and more, are served up via the hot bar. Drink selections include coffee, tea, water, juices and sodas.

On Sunday through Friday, a delicious and nutritious selection of entrees, sides, salads, soups and more are available for lunch. The café’s lunch hours are: Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The café is not open for lunch on Saturdays.

Tanner Medical Center/East Alabama is a more than 50,000-square-foot, three-story modern hospital facility built beside the Tanner/East Alabama medical office building at 1032 South Main Street in Wedowee. The new hospital opened for patients on Nov. 14, 2017. Services include 24-hour emergency care, critical care support, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, an on-site laboratory and a surgical suite.
