Emily Turney, MD, Joins West Georgia Healthcare for Women

Access to leading-edge care for women in west Georgia and east Alabama continues to expand with the addition of Emily Turney, MD, to Tanner Women’s Care and the patient care team at West Georgia Healthcare for Women.
Dr. Turney is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Ala., and finished her residency in obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky.
Dr. Turney’s interests include high-risk obstetrics, family planning and minimally invasive surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery.
With Tanner Women’s Care, Dr. Turney is part of a multidisciplinary approach to women’s health and wellness, featuring gynecology, obstetrics, surgical services, urology care and more. At West Georgia Healthcare for Women, Dr. Turney joins the patient care team of Shannon Couvreur, DO, and David Helton, MD.
