What Do You Know About Arthritis?

Arthritis affects up to 1 in 4 U.S. adults and is one of the most common chronic conditions in the country, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

On a state level, the southern United States has the highest percentages of doctor-diagnosed arthritis, particularly Alabama, where the percentage of adults with arthritis is 31%. The percentage is 24.5% in Georgia. While healthcare providers have identified more than 100 forms of arthritis, the most common types include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
