More access to mental health care for children and adolescents is available as PhuongTam “Tammy” Nguyen, MD, joins Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center.
Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree in psychiatry from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
At Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center, Dr. Nguyen works with children and adolescents, age 5 to 18, treating emotional and behavioral issues — including mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia — with psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapeutic intervention and medication management.
