Heather Ford, MD, Joins Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center

More access to psychiatric services for children and adolescents is available in west Georgia, as Heather Ford, MD, joins the team of psychiatrists at the new Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center.
Dr. Ford completed her residency in psychiatry at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina, where she also completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon and her bachelor’s in chemistry and biology at the University of Georgia in Athens.
At Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center, Dr. Ford and her colleagues offer psychiatric evaluations, therapeutic interventions and medication management for children, adolescents and young adults. The center helps youth and young adults ages 5-21 cope with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, mood disorders, schizophrenia and other conditions.
The Willowbrooke Psychiatric Center has locations in Carrollton and Villa Rica, with separate offices for patients ages 5-17 and those 18 and older. The center is part of Willowbrooke at Tanner’s comprehensive behavioral health services approach, featuring outpatient programs, inpatient care, counseling services and more.
