Atlanta Magazine: Tanner Cardiologist Among Metro’s Best

A magazine focused on Atlanta had some kind words for health care in Carroll County.
Atlanta magazine featured Shazib Khawaja, MD — board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, endovascular and vascular medicine with Tanner Heart & Vascular Specialists and the cardiology medical operations leader for Tanner Health System — on its list of top doctors. The magazine featured 358 physicians from throughout metro Atlanta in 58 specialties.
Atlanta magazine’s list of top doctors was compiled by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., which uses annual surveys returned to the firm by tens of thousands of doctors to compile a list of physicians that respondents trust most. That is, rankings are based not only on the physicians’ educational qualifications, but also what their colleagues think of them. This is the seventh consecutive year that Dr. Khawaja has been ranked among the nation’s best in interventional cardiology by the ratings firm.
Dr. Khawaja has also been featured among the nation’s best interventional cardiologists in U.S. News and World Report.
