Alliant Quality, Tanner Offer Diabetes Empowerment Education Program

Do you have prediabetes or diabetes?

Alliant Quality — in partnership with Tanner Health System’s Get Healthy, Live Well — is offering a free, fun hands-on six-week workshop that will help participants understand diabetes and its risks, as well as the importance of diet, exercise, keeping regular physician exams, receiving annual foot and eye exams, managing medications and more. The workshop teaches participants how to live healthier in a fun, friendly community-based environment.

The next two Diabetes Empowerment Education Program workshops will be held on Tuesdays, from July 11 to Aug. 15, in Classroom 260 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton. One six-week workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. A second six-week workshop will be held from 1 to 3 p.m.

Classes are offered throughout the year. Class size is limited, so register early. Register online or call 770.214.CARE.
